Two workflows, one AI engine
Every event is different. A destination wedding with 150 guests over three days doesn't run the same way as a 400-person corporate conference with a tight registration desk. Picsora doesn't force either one into a single fixed workflow - you choose whether guests register before you've uploaded a single photo, or after you're back from the shoot with the full gallery ready. Both use the exact same AI face-matching engine underneath; the only difference is when in the timeline guests join.
After the Event: the classic flow
This is the workflow most photographers default to, and it's still the simplest for smaller or more intimate events where you want full control over the edit before anyone sees a photo.

Before the Event: the live flow
For larger or longer events, waiting until you're home to start the delivery clock adds a day or more before any guest sees a photo. The Before flow closes that gap by getting guests registered while the event is still happening.

Which one fits your event type
There's no universally correct choice - it depends on event size, duration, and how much post-processing you do before delivery. As a rough guide: smaller weddings and events where you want to cull and edit before anyone sees a frame tend to fit After better. Large weddings, multi-day events, and conferences with a check-in desk benefit from Before - registering 300 guests over a single evening is far easier than chasing them down for selfies after they've scattered home across the country.
You can combine both in the same event
These aren't mutually exclusive settings locked in at creation. A common pattern: put the QR standee out before the event so early arrivals register live, then keep uploading photo batches throughout the day as your team shoots - guests who registered early start seeing matches well before the event ends, while anyone who missed the standee can still scan the same code and register afterward from the share link.
Setting either one up
Both flows start the same way - create the event in your studio dashboard and generate its QR code. For a Before setup, download and print the QR immediately, before you've uploaded anything. For an After setup, just hold off sharing the link or QR until your upload and AI processing are complete. There's no separate toggle to hunt for - the workflow you use is simply a matter of when you choose to share the code.
